Thank you for your patience.
Kentucky Power is committed to the health and safety of our customers, communities and employees. We continue to closely monitor the COVID-19 pandemic and are working with state and local leaders to protect the public, our business partners and our team during this time of unprecedented disruption in our daily lives. The Kentucky Power team is prepared and will continue providing our customers safe and secure electricity service.
The American Electric Power Foundation has donated an additional $36,000 to organizations supporting COVID-19 relief in Kentucky Power’s service area.
Kentucky Power recently completed emergency inspections on electrical equipment that provides power to more than 44 critical facilities such as hospitals and nursing homes. Company leaders took the precautionary step out of an abundance of caution to ensure grid reliability during the COVID-19 pandemic.
National and local resources are available to help businesses navigate the Coronavirus pandemic.
We know you are concerned about your family, and ensuring you have reliable electric service allows you to focus on staying healthy. Although Kentucky Power has now resumed disconnection for non-payment after pausing this practice voluntarily in March of last year, our goal of working with customers as the pandemic continues remains unchanged. Customers experiencing financial hardship and difficulty paying electric bills are encouraged to contact Kentucky Power immediately to discuss the situation and explore payment arrangement options. Customers may contact us by:
