Tree Trimming and Removal

Working Year-Round to Reduce Outages Caused By Trees

Fallen trees and branches are one of the top causes of power outages. One tree limb can knock out power to hundreds of customers. That's why our crews work hard year-round to keep trees and branches away from our distribution power lines and equipment.

At least every five years, our tree crews will visit your neighborhood to look for trees or branches near our distribution power lines and equipment that could impact your electric service. If they spot any concerns, they'll take action to help prevent future tree-related power outages.

We're committed to balancing the importance of trees, keeping your lights on and keeping our communities safe.

Our team of experts is made up of professionally certified foresters, arborists and technicians who understand the science of long-term tree maintenance and management. They follow standards set by the International Society of Arboriculture, the American National Standards Institute and the Tree Care Industry Association.

Our proactive tree trimming and removal program helps us provide safe and reliable power in our heavily forested service area where trees are the #1 cause of power outages.
