NEW BILL FORMAT COMING MARCH 3

February 25, 2011

Beginning March 3, Public Service Company of Oklahoma (PSO) customers will notice a change in the format of their monthly electric bill.

"Customers told us we could improve our bill to make it easier to understand. We conducted reviews with residential and business customers and they helped us with changes to make the bills more user friendly," says Rob Cheripko, managing director of customer operations.

One request from customers was more information for managing energy use and costs. "The new bill features a bar chart showing energy usage at an address for up to 13 months (when available). In addition, a new table compares the current month’s energy usage, cost and weather against the same data for the previous month and the same month of the prior year," reports Cheripko.

An account summary table has been placed at the top of the bill to quickly identify important information such as account number, bill due date and amount due. A dedicated messaging area will appear on the first page of the bill to draw attention to important information.

"We appreciate the input from our customers to help us design a better bill and look forward to continuing to improve customer service," notes Cheripko.
